Birthday Party for Ashlee, Sammy & Lexi...

So Ashlee, Lexi and Sammy all have January birthdays. We had planned to have a birthday party down at my Mom's house the weekend of the 24th and 25th. We were all going to stay down there for the weekend and the girls and Vern were all very excited about all of us staying there for the weekend. About 2 AM on January 24th Vern was taken to the hospital by ambulance. My mom had Sammy and Shana at her house and she brought them here in the middle of the night and I went to the hospital with my mom and Tami and Loni met us there. Vern stayed in the hospital until Tuesday when he went back home. He felt so bad about ruining our party plans for the weekend and we told him he didn't ruin anything. We were still having the party...just at a different place. We brought the party up to the hospital that weekend and we stayed and the kids enjoyed spending the time with him and grandma up there. We ordered in Sammy's pizza and I brought cupcakes and the girls all opened their gifts up there. It was nice to spend the weekend together. Vern had his up times and his down times and we all made the best of it and just cherished the time we all had together.

Trinity's Baptism

Welcome Trinity Constance Zimmermann...

My sister Kelly and her husband John had their first child on December 28, 2008.

They live in Quantico, VA so we did not get to meet Trinity until she made her first trip to Duluth in March 2009.

Meeting My niece Abby for the first time!!!

I was so excited to finally be able to meet my niece Abby for the very first time!! She loved coming here to play with the toys! She opened up her Christmas present and she really fell in love with Butch! Do you blame her...LOL!!

Family Christmas!

Well, Matt was able to come home for Christmas and stay for 2 weeks. It was good to have him home and have the family together. We spent Christmas Eve with my mom and Vern at their house and we spent Christmas Day with my dad's side of the family out at Tom & Patty's house. Matt left our cold winter weather on January 2nd and went back to Texas where it was warm!
